This is a collected presentation of some of the work I created for my Creative Web Development class this year. Each project represents a skill we learnt and the coding we applied to our own projects.

Here's a bit about me

I study Communication, Culture and Technology at Georgetown University and will graduate in May 2019. I am interested in pedagogy and it's intersection with technology, online learning (MOOCs) and design thinking. With this class, I've been able to work on my coding skills of HTML, CSS and JavaScript! (I write poetry and also do memes!!)

Poem in HTML and CSS
The prompt was to write your own poem and use some of the HTML and CSS tags we discussed in class. This was the very first project.

First Project

Use of Container Code
This project attempted to teach us the use of the container code in CSS. We were to remix a previous project and use the container code to place certain items in a 'container'.

Project Two

Div & Positioning
This project required us to make use of codes and place data in positions such as the header and footer. The colors guide viewers to note the different divisions on the webpage.

Project Three

Tables and Rows
This project required us to make use of codes that would put data in rows and columns. As like all requirements, we could do as much or little creatively as we wished. I used the hover over effect that enlarges the text when you visit the website. Also, if you hover over the images, they become more prominent.

Project Four

Animate!
This project required us to use an animate code to make animations on the webpage. I decided to use pictures of my cat, Topsy, and animate the webpage. Move your mouse over the diagnol line on the webpage to see the animation.

Project Five

Image Slideshow
In this project, I created a slideshow of images of a trip to New York. The animation is in the title of the webpage. Also, you could click on the side of the image to slide the image deck.

Project Six

Animation and Music
In this project, we were to build upon the last presented project. I added an animated title and a button with a music that plays upon clicking 'Ring Me'. Using the marquee code, the image at the bottom of the page moves right to left.

Project Seven

Drama on the page
This project was a test feature to add drama to a photograph. Using codes, I played around with a photograph to show movement on the page through the images.

Project Eight

The Moving Picture Gallery
In this project, using codes, the carousel changes images based on the 'Previous' and 'Next' buttons. So one can add images or slides or color palettes as they please. The title of the page had animated imagery.

Project Nine

The Mid-Term Exam
This was the website created in class during my mid term exam. We had specific instructions to use at least 3 fonts, 3 different colors and then create your portfolio for viewing. We were told we could add any other feature to score extra points!

Project Mid-Term Exam

Towards the Final Project 1
As we were nearing the end of the semester, here onwards, each week the professor wanted us to explore a theme and work around coding on the theme. For the first week, I chose to experiment with color. This is one of the final projects.

Project Final1

Towards the Final Project 2
In this project, I decided to play with the parallax code and try to animate the written content upon scrolling.

Project Final2

Final Project 3
Here, I decided to use the concept of 'repetition' and explore it on the webpage.

Project Final 3

Experiment Exercise
This was an an experiment of mixing the presentations for the final project. I used animation and title animation to remix the page. Since the project was focussed on the use of color, I decided to add row columns with color and text.

Experiment Exercise

The Final Project One
I presented two final projects. This was the first one. I decided to experiment with one of my own poems and images. Here, I used the concept of parallax and the verses of my poems were laid out in columns and rows.

Project Final One

The Final Project Two
Looking at another one of my poems, I used a different theme of animating the last word of the line. However, this is not the whole poem.
